Leverage shortens the distance between a small market move and a large account change.

We write for readers in Uganda who want to understand a broker before they commit money. That means we separate what we can verify from what we cannot. If a detail is not confirmed for Uganda, we say so rather than fill the gap with a guess.
How We Verify Facts
Each page starts with a fixed set of grounded facts supplied by our research desk. A writer may only use numbers, licence names, and company details that appear in that set. Nothing is invented, and no quote is fabricated.
| Licence it holds | No Uganda licence |
|---|---|
| What it covers here | Unavailable in Uganda |
| What it does not cover | Plus500 is not presented here as having a confirmed top-tier regulator in the exact sense of a fully regulated FCA/CySEC/ASIC/SCA-class broker, so |
When a fact carries a source, we can reference it in the text. Where the source is a regulator or an exchange, we prefer to name it. Where the evidence is thin, we write less, not more.
What We Do Not Do
Several things are off the table for our writers.
- We do not invent statistics, licence numbers, or client figures.
- We do not copy marketing copy from a broker's own website and present it as review.
- We do not tell readers to avoid the international broker category.
- We do not repeat a single regulatory fact across every page of the site.
- We do not use fear as a reason to click.
Each page carries one regulatory note, at most. The detail belongs where the topic demands it, and not everywhere else.
Where Plus500 Stands for Uganda
Plus500 does not accept traders from Uganda. The company runs through several overseas subsidiaries, and none of them are shown as serving Uganda in the evidence we hold. Plus500 Ltd is a London-listed group, and it holds licences in other jurisdictions through bodies such as CySEC and the FSCA. What it means is simpler. The supervision those licences provide does not extend to a Ugandan resident opening an account.

Our pages on Plus500 cover the platform, the app, and the toolset as products, and we flag the Uganda gap where it matters. Anyone weighing an international broker should check the licence that actually applies to them, not the one in the footer.
How We Choose What to Cover
Topic selection follows reader questions, not brand priorities. We look at what people in Uganda search for, then check whether we have enough grounded material to answer it properly.
A page needs at least three verifiable points before it earns a slot. A thin page wastes your time and ours.
| Page type | What it answers | Minimum evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Review | Overall broker assessment | Licence, costs, platforms |
| Platform pages | Web, app, or terminal features | Product description, limits |
| Payments pages | Deposit and withdrawal routes | Named methods, timeframes |
| Cost pages | Fees, spreads, taxes | Published fee schedule |
If a topic fails the evidence test, we hold it back until research catches up.
Corrections and Updates
Brokers change terms, fees, and availability. When a fact shifts, we update the page and note the change in the body text. We do not silently rewrite history.
Readers can flag an error by contacting our editorial desk. We check the claim against our source set. If the source supports the correction, we fix it. If not, we explain why in a reply.
Rates and tax rules age fast. Uganda's income tax bands for the fiscal year are a good example: they are current as of the review, and URA remains the place to confirm them.
Independence and Commercial Reality
This site earns revenue through affiliate links. When you open an account through a link, we may receive a payment. That funding keeps the research running.

Affiliate revenue does not buy a verdict. Ads and partnerships never sit inside a review body, and no broker sees a page before publication. If a page reads positive, it is because the evidence supports it, not because a contract says so.
We also publish on brokers we cannot recommend for Uganda, with the same evidence rules applied.
The App Angle
Much of our Plus500 coverage runs through the mobile experience, and the editorial rules apply there too. We test what a phone user actually sees: order tickets, notifications, chart behaviour on a small screen.
Plus500 runs a proprietary WebTrader across web, desktop, and iOS and Android apps, with no MT4 or MT5 option. It offers a free unlimited demo and a single CFD account, with a Professional classification available. Spreads are the main cost, with no commission on trades.
| Feature | What we check on mobile |
|---|---|
| Order entry | Taps required, clarity of price |
| Notifications | Alert reliability on price moves |
| Chart tools | Readability on a 6-inch screen |
| Demo mode | Whether practice needs a real login |
The Uganda position does not change on mobile. It shapes how we describe the product honestly.
Questions
How often do you update a page?
We update when a verifiable fact changes, such as a fee, a platform feature, or a tax band. The body text notes the change rather than hiding it.
Do affiliate payments affect your conclusions?
No. Affiliate revenue funds the research, but no broker reviews a page before it goes live. Recommendations follow the evidence, and we set out the criteria openly.
Can I report an error?
Yes. Contact our editorial desk with the claim and a source. We check it against our fact set and correct the page if the source holds up.
